Project Overview

Asset TV is a video streaming platform that offers a wide range of content focusing on financial investments. Their platform is used to track continuing professional development (CPD) for financial advisors.

Client Challenges

The team were in the middle of replatforming to a new CMS (Drupal 9). I was brought in to implement designs that had been previously approved. this entailed building the entire UI as static content, which could then re-implemented it in the new Drupal theme.

Our Solution

• Component-Based Design: We documented the component library and implemented it using Tailwind CSS.
• Drupal Integration: We integrated the site with Drupal 9 using the new theme.
• New Player: We also built and implemented a new media player, replacing their CPD tracking system and making the code base more robust and maintainable.

Key Features

• New Media Player: A brand new media player based on Mux data streaming and tracking.
• Custom JavaScript: Many custom JavaScript components and interactions were added to enhance the user experience including Accordions, Carousels and dropdowns.
• Dashboard Charts: The CPD dashboard charts were upgraded to provide real-time insights into project progress using the new tracking system.

Results & Impact

• Usability: The design shown above is one of 4 regional sites built for AssetTV using the new Drupal theme.
• Conversion Rate: Views increased as the new design improved usability.
• Adaptability: The new site continues to be improved and adapted to meet changing needs of the company.
